wowza, we made it! It’s the end of the interlude (which went on a lot longer than I would have liked it to tbh, it’s almost the same length as Chapter 3). A quick recap:

  • Milt was part of a program for magically gifted children; he was supposed to be trained to help defend Blueridge one day. He’s having some mental anguish over the whole ordeal, but thankfully Lifewort is there to reassure him and brush off all his underlying issues, like a good dad (he’s not a good dad).
  • Sedna is brought into the program as well, but it’s pretty apparent she’s unstable and doesn’t quite seem to have the same qualms against killing that Milt does. Milt convinces Marcella to get her therapy, but Sedna eventually leaves the program and no longer receives it. Milt remains optimistic for her stability.
  • Torah is planning on staying in the cave tomorrow, despite the fact that everyone is busy with Diggory’s show. Milt doesn’t like this, but Torah is a stubborn shit and Milt’s destiny is to be merchandised as a doormat. They hug. Torah has something janky going on with her hand.
  • Sedna’s about as stable as a horse on stilts. Auda tags along with her because she’s about as smart as the person who decided to put stilts on a horse.

Humanish will be back on the 27th! There will be a cute mini-comic posted here on Friday, and then… a break! What fun. If you want to read ahead, 3$ pledges can read almost halfway through the next chapter on Patreon!! It’s the sexy chapter 😀

And as always, thanks for reading!
