Coloring this page was also a trip. There’s a billion different scenes in this comic, that all need their own lighting, and this is the location our heroes spend the most time in. It’s also the least inspired imo (interior lighting is NOT my forte), but I tried my darnest to cover it up with SMOKE! So much SMOKE!

I’m pretty sure I took Hammer’s inks from the second panel and placed them into the middle panel on the third page (the migraine page), shortcuts like that should probably make me feel like a hack but instead I feel crafty and clever.

In the original script for this page, the cake was actually supposed to make a farting noise. But I think the way the panels were set up made me feel like that wasn’t a good punchline? I’m not sure what my logic was anymore. If this had audio it probably would have stayed farty, because I’m not above that.

I cared very deeply about the expressions on this page.
